Day 1: Arrival in Arusha - Gear Preparation

Dinner and overnight at the lodge with chance to test equipment in the lodge's gardens which attract numerous bird species.

Day 2-3: Tarangire National Park - Elephants & Baobabs

Early departure for Tarangire National Park, arriving for morning golden hour. Spend two full days photographing Tarangire's famous elephant herds (often numbering 100+), ancient baobab trees, and diverse birdlife. Special focus on:

• Silhouette shots at sunset against baobabs
• Low-angle elephant portraits using specialized vehicle hatches
• Macro photography of park's diverse bird species
• Panoramic landscape compositions

Stay at Tarangire Treetops Lodge with its elevated photography decks overlooking a frequented waterhole. Evenings include image review sessions with professional feedback.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Highlands - Cultural Photography

Morning drive to Ngorongoro Highlands with stops at Mto wa Mbu village for cultural photography opportunities (with proper permissions). Learn techniques for authentic people photography. Afternoon at Gibbs Farm with opportunities to photograph:

• Working farm activities
• Local artisans at work
• Gardens and waterfall landscapes

Sunset photography from the lodge's vantage points. Overnight at Gibbs Farm with chance to process images from previous days.

Day 5-7: Ngorongoro Crater - Wildlife Portraits

Descend into the crater at dawn for three days of intensive wildlife photography in this natural amphitheater. The crater's high density of animals allows for unparalleled opportunities:

• Full-day crater floor access (special permit)
• Predator action photography (lions, hyenas, jackals)
• Flamingo flocks at Lake Magadi
• Rare black rhino sightings
