Day 1: Arusha to Northern Serengeti - Into the Wild
Charter flight to the northern Serengeti, landing at Kogatende airstrip near the Mara River. Meet your private guide and begin tracking the Great Migration immediately. Picnic lunch overlooking potential crossing points. Afternoon game drive focusing on predator action. Arrive at Serengeti Safari Camp, our luxury mobile camp perfectly positioned for migration viewing. Welcome drinks around the fire as your guide outlines the coming days' adventures.
Day 2-4: Serengeti Intensive - Following the Herds
Three full days immersed in the Serengeti's wildlife spectacle. Dawn game drives catch the migration at its most active, while afternoon explorations reveal cheetahs on the plains and lions in the kopjes. Our camp moves to follow the herds (seasonal), ensuring prime positioning. Special experiences include a private bush breakfast and walking safari with an armed ranger. Evenings feature gourmet dining under the stars with wildlife sounds as your soundtrack.
Day 5-6: Lake Natron - Otherworldly Landscapes
Journey to Lake Natron, Tanzania's surreal volcanic landscape. Visit Engare Sero waterfall for a refreshing swim and see thousands of flamingos at the lake's edge. Hike to view the spectacular sunset over the Rift Valley (optional). Stay at Natron Luxury Tented Camp with breathtaking views. Next morning, visit a Maasai village to learn about their unique adaptation to this harsh environment.
Day 7-8: Ngorongoro - Wildlife Paradise
Travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for two nights at The Highlands, an exclusive eco-lodge on the crater rim. Full day descent into the crater with a specialist guide focusing on rhino tracking. Next day: walking safari on the crater rim with breathtaking views. Evenings feature private firepit dining and stargazing with our astronomy guide.
Day 9: Ngorongoro to Arusha - Journey's End
Leisurely breakfast with crater views before returning to Arusha. Stop at our partnered cultural village for authentic souvenir shopping. Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon for farewell lunch at River House before airport transfer or hotel drop-off.
