Mandatory $44 Insurance for 2026

All visitors to Zanzibar must purchase the Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance before arrival. Without the QR code, you will be stopped at the airport.

2026 Update: 100% of arriving passengers are checked. This is separate from your regular travel insurance.

How to Purchase:

  2. Click "Travel Insurance"
  3. Fill in passport details
  4. Pay $44 USD via credit card
  5. Download PDF with QR code
  6. Print AND save on phone

Purchase 72 hours before arrival. Website can be slow during peak hours.
